Freelancer Should Work For Free.
That’s what GaryVee stated on his YouTube channel. Sound unfair?
Gary Vaynerchuk is a well-known entrepreneur and investor with investments in Facebook, Twitter, Venmo, Tumblr, and dozens of other startups. He is known digital marketing and social media, leading companies as VaynerMedia and VaynerX.
Gary thinks that people should do things for “exposure”, for free.
As for here, somewhere on Reddit I’ve seen opinions on this:
Gary has made millions and still works for free.
It’s a way that leads to bigger money in the future.
Giving people in an at-bat is in an absolutely monetary way.
The team of Periodix, the service that automates freelance jobs search, asked Redditors about their thoughts.
Most of them agree with Gary’s opinion:
But part of freelancers from Reddit negative perceive free tasks.
Some freelancers suggest charging small paying projects to check clients. And it’s good advice!
Working for free or not is your choice. Be careful and check clients and companies reviews. If you see that customers had good reviews and offer you long-time projects, it’s a good risk to get more after free tasks.
